Anonymous asked: classic problem: how the hell do i ask a guy out on a date through IM? ive heard him tell some people that he thinks im pretty, but i dont want to be like "go out with me!!" this is such a stupid q, but help would be apreeshed
Dear Anon,
This isn’t a stupid question at all. You should casually bring this up in the middle of a conversation. Slip in something like, “Hey, we should hang out sometime,” then see if things work out or not. It’s okay to be a little bit straight-forward — who knows, maybe he’s really into you.
Anonymous asked: so she broke up with me. And it feels like it won't ever get better. How do I get through..?
Dear Anon,
Things will get better eventually. We all go through rough times like these. It’s normal to feel a sad and like you won’t get through, but you have to believe that you will. Getting over any break-up is hard, but it simply takes a lot of time, reflection of the past relationship and distance from your ex-girlfriend/boyfriend — keep your own space. Remove memory triggers. Cope with pain appropriately. Stick to close friends and hobbies/things that interest you… things like that. One day, someone new and interesting will come around. Because really, there is no magical cure to getting over a break-up — but with time, it will get a lot easier. You have time to reflect why it didn’t work out and then you can start moving on. This simply wasn’t meant to be — so chin up, you’ll get through.
Anonymous asked: Is it okay if I un-anon myself but keep it private with you? What I have to tell is kind of really long, and I wouldn't really like it if it was published :S
Yes, of course! I always reply to un-anonymous messages privately.
Anonymous asked: so some guy that i'm friends with talk alot and he flirts with me sometimes and he would always be telling my to listen to a song by kid ink it's called time of your life , i told him i listened to it and he told me that was my song and he smiled and left because he had to you to class , can you please listen to it , because i don't know what he's trying to tell me
Dear Anon,
By asking you to listen to this song, it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s trying to tell you something. Maybe he is trying to tell you something, who knows? But the only way you’re going to understand his feelings for you is by talking to him — there’s no point in trying to decode this song forever and on your own. I cannot simply guess what this guy’s feelings for you, so you’ll have to find that out for yourself.
Anonymous asked: So i used to like this guy well i don't know if I still do and some people are spreadding rumors about me and him dating, and the girls in the flag foot ball team all know my friend asked me and I was like no because some niner said that she likes him but hes dating me and my friend was like no shes not. So know me and him haven't talked in a while and im afraid all the girls in my grade are gonna think im said it cuz i can't get a guy what should I do? sorry if it doesn't make sense :)
Dear Anon,
Try not to pay attention to these girls. They have no business or importance in your personal life. After a while, they should realize you aren’t dating this guy and that the rumors they’ve been spreading about you are all false. Stick to the people who are interested in you, not your dating life, and that make you happy.
Anonymous asked: I talk to her constantly on the phone and we are very close. But for the past days she hasn't been answering my calls. What should I do? I really really don’t want to loose her. But Its is not fair that I have to reject this guy just so we can get back to normal. Thankyou
Dear Anon,
As much as it would hurt your friend if anything did happen between you and this boy, it’s important to know that you simply can’t please everybody. Sometimes, you have to do things for yourself. You don’t have to avoid speaking to this guy in fear of offending your friend, though I totally understand why you would be doing so.
You need to speak to your friend, face to face, as soon as possible. Make her understand your feelings for this boy, and that you never want to hurt her or lose her. You have to let her know what if anything were to happen between you and this boy, that you would never, ever rub it in her face or let it ruin your friendship. If you are good and honest friends, you should stay close no matter what. It’s a bit of a sticky situation you’re, and you might both end up being a little hurt or distant at some point like now, but as long as you handle it carefully and maturely, things should work out just fine for you three.
